We’ve Got Balls Summer 2009 


Concept
This is a football World Cup for Snowboarders. The winners will receive €1000 to give to a charity of their choice.

Rules and regulations
Teams are 7 a side.
The limit to squad size is 12, so 5 subs 
You must have a female on the pitch at all times.
Group games are 30 minutes long
Knock out games are 40 minutes long
Subsitutes can roll freely throughout the game.
11-a-side rules apply, not 5-a-side.
We will be playing on grass so firm or hard ground boots will be necessary.
All games will be played between 6 and 9 at night.

Player Eligibility.
The idea is to pit each countries snowboard industry against each other. We want every team to be competitive, but at the same time this is a social contest to bring snowboarders who love football together. So, the basic rule is this all players must be able to snowboard. 

This is just to stop pro or semi pro footballers being recruited who have no social connection with everyone.

Format
On the 14th of June there will be a welcome party with a team captains meeting where the Ten teams will be drawn to play in two groups of five. 

Each team will play Two group games on Monday 15th June and two group games on Tuesday 16th June.

The quarter finals will be played between the top four teams in each group on Wednesday 17th. The two fifth placed teams in each group will also play for 9th and tenth position.

The four semi finalists will play on Thursday 18th and the four losing quarter finalists will also play for 5th to 8th position

The final and the 3rd and 4th place play off will be held on Friday 19th. 
There will be a BBQ and party hosted by Method Mag on the final night for all teams to come and eat, drink and cheer on the finalists.
